Doggy Cabin Fever - These Might Help!

Image
Good afternoon tout le monde (everyone),  Echo is chewing her own foot off out of boredom. The snow is fun but being inside is boring!      If you are like me, the recent snow and ice have made getting to the dog park a little harder. Our girl Echo spent two whole days mainly inside with small walks and local dog play sessions with our neighbors. When we went to the further park for the first time yesterday, I could see several pups who also had lots of pent up energy. I know my pointer is super smart and needs a lot of exercise to keep from bouncing off of the walls and driving us crazy. So I thought I would add some things that we do for our girl in the hopes that it might help someone else. These games work well during rainy days too! Recall hide and seek: We live in a small apartment and when working recall we came up with this fun game. It gets Echo super tired in about 20 minutes. My husband and I grab a handful of yummy snacks, I recommend anything supe...

Dog Grooming Policies – Please Read

In this profession, I personally strive for every animal to be have a good experience and have the highest standards in safety and cleanliness. These policies that I have listed are the guidelines that I will use to ensure that your animal has the best spaw day possible. Pick up and Drop off Time: I only perform one grooming service at a time and at a pace that your pup is comfortable with. Depending on their coat type and behavior, expect them to be with me for about 2 hours unless otherwise discussed. You must be able to pick up within (30) minutes of being informed that your dog is finished. I will be working at a self wash so once I am finished I will take your dog back to my car to wait for you. They will have a potty break with myself before and after the service unless they have already been given one.  Severely Matted Dogs: Small tangles and even one or two mats may be shaved out and blended into the haircut. However any severe matting will need to be shave...
